Valor Discovery is designed to help students and the Valor community explore beyond our cultural setting into other cultures around the world. These intercultural experiences are designed to bring about transformation by integrating faith through exploring other worldviews, belief systems, cultural practices and more. The transformation of students rarely occurs uniformly over time. A well executed intercultural experience has the potential to significantly advance students’ emotional, social, character and leadership development, as well as spiritual transformation, while meeting the desired educational or ministry goals. Valor Discovery seeks to specifically prepare tomorrow’s leaders to transform the world for Christ.
While some experiences are specifically oriented towards a missions outreach, the primary focus of others may be language learning, cultural immersion or academic enhancement. In every case, local or abroad, our desire is that our students will model Christ's servant leadership as a part of their broader experience.
